USINAS SOLARES FOTOVOLTAICAS NO NORDESTE BRASILEIRO: UM ESTUDO SOBRE A SUA RELAÇÃO COM O DESENVOLVIMENTO REGIONAL SUSTENTÁVEL

Abstract

Esta pesquisa, intitulada “Relações entre Usinas Solares Fotovoltaicas no Semiárido Nordestino e o Desenvolvimento Regional Sustentável”, tem como objetivo geral analisar as relações entre as usinas solares fotovoltaicas instaladas no semiárido da Região Nordeste do Brasil e o desenvolvimento regional sustentável. Para alcançar este objetivo, foram estabelecidos três objetivos específicos: fornecer uma visão ampla acerca das características do processo da geração de energia solar fotovoltaica, bem como sua aplicação no complexo de Usinas de Coremas, localizado na Paraíba; identificar os fatores que envolvem estudos de impactos ambientais dessas usinas à luz das legislações pertinentes; e caracterizar as relações existentes entre as usinas fotovoltaicas e as dimensões econômica, social e ambiental que as envolvem, segundo a ótica do poder público, dos munícipes, das empresas privadas A pesquisa utiliza uma abordagem qualitativa, conduzida por meio de estudo de caso nas dez usinas estudadas, permitindo uma análise detalhada das complexidades envolvidas. Essa abordagem metodológica busca oferecer uma compreensão detalhada e contextualizada do problema, assegurando a autenticidade e a profundidade dos resultados. Os resultados da pesquisa mostram que a instalação das usinas fotovoltaicas em Coremas, Paraíba, impactou positivamente o desenvolvimento regional sustentável. Na dimensão econômica, houve geração de empregos, aumento da arrecadação e novos negócios ligados à energia solar. No aspecto social, as usinas melhoraram a qualidade de vida, promoveram capacitação técnica e aumentaram a conscientização ambiental. Na área ambiental, reduziram a dependência de energia não renovável e as emissões de gases de efeito estufa, embora ainda existam desafios na gestão de resíduos. Essas relações destacam a relevância das usinas solares para o desenvolvimento sustentável da região. Essa contribui não apenas para compreender o papel das usinas fotovoltaicas no semiárido nordestino, mas também para fornecer insights valiosos para políticas públicas, práticas empresariais e futuras pesquisas nesta área, fundamentais para o desenvolvimento sustentável da região.

This research, entitled Relationships between Solar Photovoltaic Plants in the Northeastern Semi-Arid and Sustainable Regional Development, has the general objective of analyzing the relationships between solar photovoltaic plants installed in the semi-arid region of Northeastern Brazil and sustainable regional development. To achieve this objective, three specific objectives were established: to provide a broad overview of the characteristics of the photovoltaic solar energy generation process, as well as its application in the Coremas Power Plant complex, located in Paraíba; to identify the factors involving environmental impact studies of these plants in the light of the relevant legislation; and to characterize the relationships between photovoltaic plants and the economic, social and environmental dimensions that surround them, from the point of view of public authorities, local residents and private companies The research uses a qualitative approach, conducted by means of a case study of the ten plants mentioned, allowing for a detailed analysis of the complexities involved. This methodological approach seeks to offer a detailed and contextualized understanding of the problem, ensuring the authenticity and depth of the results. The results of the research show that the installation of photovoltaic plants in Coremas, Paraíba, has had a significantly positive impact on sustainable regional development. In the economic dimension, jobs have been created, revenue has increased and new businesses have been created. On the social side, the plants have improved quality of life, promoted technical training and raised environmental awareness. In the environmental area, they have reduced dependence on non-renewable energy and greenhouse gas emissions, although there are still challenges in waste management. These relationships highlight the relevance of solar plants for the sustainable development of the region. This research represents an important effort that contributes not only to understanding the role of photovoltaic plants in the semi-arid northeast, but also to providing valuable insights for public policies, business practices and future research in this area, which are fundamental for the sustainable development of the region.
