DESENVOLVIMENTO E IDENTIDADE INDUSTRIAL: A FACULDADE DE CIÊNCIAS ECONÔMICAS E ADMINISTRATIVAS DE SANTO ANDRÉ (1950-1960)

Abstract

A proposta desta pesquisa é apresentar um estudo histórico que dimensione a questão da identidade industrial do ABC na criação da Faculdade de Ciências Econômicas e Administrativas de Santo André, no período de 1950-1960, considerando a identidade como fator que, ao lado das questões econômicas e de política nacional, pode ter contribuído para o desenvolvimento da região em sua relação com a administração de empresas. Nesse sentido, este trabalho pretende abordar, por intermédio da pesquisa exploratória com delineamento documental, a relação entre a criação da Faculdade, o poder público local e o desenvolvimento regional; e as representações da Identidade Industrial no momento da criação desta Escola de Administração. Inserido no bojo das investigações acerca do processo de desenvolvimento da região do ABC, esse estudo volta-se para algumas reflexões sobre a utilização da identidade enquanto possibilidade de integração regional para o desenvolvimento.

The aim of this research is to present a historical study that approaches the question of the industrial identity of ABC´s region in the creation of the Bachelor School of Economic and Administrative Sciences of Santo André, in the period of 1950-1960, considering the identity as a factor aside the economic questions and national politics that can have contribuited for the development of the region in its relation with the business administration. However this work intends to approach through exploring research with documentary delineation the relation among the creation of the College the local public power and the regional development; and the representation of Industrial Identity at the moment of the creation of this School of Administration. Inserted in the bulge of the inquiries concerning the process of ABC´s region development as a this study is turned toward some reflections on the use of the identity while possibility of regional integration for the development.
