AVALIAÇÃO DAS PROPOSTAS DE EDUCAÇÃO INTEGRAL EM JORNADA AMPLIADA DOS MUNICÍPIOS DO GRANDE ABC PAULISTA

Abstract

Este estudo analisou as propostas de Educação Integral em Jornada Ampliada em alguns municípios do Grande ABC Paulista, no tocante ao Ensino Fundamental, anos iniciais. Para tal, foi utilizada metodologia qualitativa, a partir da análise documental e de entrevistas. Os resultados mostraram que as redes de ensino buscam melhorar a qualidade da Educação Integral em Jornada Ampliada, com base em seus documentos orientadores, como por exemplo, o Plano Municipal de Educação. Todavia, é importante salientar que nenhuma das cidades incluiu em seus planos prazos para a realização de tais estratégias, situação esta que enfraquece as indicações contidas nesses planos. Em geral, as redes de ensino possuem propostas muito similares de Educação Integral em Jornada Ampliada, sejam em termos de objetivos, currículo, uso de materiais didáticos e monitoramento dos alunos. Porém, elas apresentam algumas diferenças quanto ao regime de trabalho e seus desafios, muito possivelmente em razão de suas particularidades locais. Neste sentido, resta em aberto compreender se, de fato, essas propostas funcionam para formar o aluno de modo integral ou se são “mais do mesmo”, ou seja, cópias ampliadas da educação regular tradicional. A partir dos dados obtidos nesta pesquisa pretende-se elaborar um e-book a ser disponibilizado, em geral, para as Secretarias de Educação da região, e em particular, para as de outras cidades. Ao final deste estudo, espera-se ter contribuído com o debate sobre as propostas de Educação Integral em Jornada Ampliada em alguns municípios da Região do Grande ABC Paulista.

This study analyzed the proposals for the Extended Integral Education School Day in some municipalities of the Grande ABC Paulista with respect to the early years of Basic Education. For this purpose, we used qualitative methodology, starting with documental analyses and interviews. The outcomes show that the educational networks seek to improve the quality of the Extended Basic Education School Day based on its guidance documents such as the Municipal Plan for Education. However, it is important to highlight that none of the cities included in its plans any deadlines for the accomplishment of such strategies; this is something that might impair the directions contained in these plans. In most cases, the educational networks’ proposals for Extended Integral Education School Day are very similar to each other, either in terms of purposes, curriculum, use of didactic material, or student monitoring. However, they show some differences regarding the working procedures and their challenges, probably due to local features. Thus, one must understand whether such purposes are truly effective for fully educating students or they are “nothing new”; in other words, if they are just extended versions of traditional mainstream education. From the data collected through this research, an eBook is to be written and made available to all the local Secretariats of Education Departments, and for some Secretariats of Education of other areas. At the end of this study, we hope we have contributed towards the debate on the proposals for Extended Integral Education School Day in some municipalities of the Grande ABC Paulista area.
